Srijan Foundation

Srijan Foundation has been working for last 15 years directly with vulnerable and marginalized community, particularly women and children, who are struggling with poverty, social exclusion and gender injustice across six districts of Jharkhand (Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Ranchi, Gumla, West Singhbhum, Garwah and Palamu) and mobilising and campaigning to challenge the structural causes of trafficking, child labour and gender based violence and injustices.

The organisation carries out its activities around the thematic areas like, Women Empowerment, Child Rights (Care & Development), Disability, Anti Trafficking, Health, Nutrition, Sanitation and Water and Livelihood Promotion.

SF has established its identity and credentials as a support agency for small grass root agencies engaged in the processes of community empowerment & development, particularly with women and children. More than 35 Voluntary Agencies of Jharkhand and Bihar have associated themselves with SF for their capacity building and organizational development support.

Srijan has been successful in creating models through direct field interventions and partners with those who are engaged in facilitating change at the community level and building their capacity to accelerate change that has helped to confront the causes of extreme poverty, child labour, trafficking and gender based violence and injustices.
