Fundación Serra-Schönthal is a non-profit whose founding purpose is a commitment in solidarity with women who engage in prostitution and/or are victims of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, as well as the rejection of structures that do not respect human rights, especially in situations of injustice and violation of women’s rights. The general interest of the Foundation is to provide social assistance to women victims of sexual exploitation, development cooperation, the defence of human rights and the promotion of volunteerism
Objectives: 1. To support projects for the comprehensive care of women, adolescents and girls involved in prostitution and/or who have been victims of trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. 2. Promote awareness-raising and education programmes, as well as advocacy campaigns and actions, to raise awareness of the causes of prostitution and trafficking, and the violation of women’s rights, and possible responses and alternatives. 3. Investigate new forms of prostitution and trafficking, including virtual prostitution.

Platform for Labour Action (PLA) is an Ugandan civil society organisation that was founded in 2000. PLA’s target groups are vulnerable, marginalised workers, majority of whom are women, youth and children. Currently, the organisation is focused on informing legal and policy frameworks for the vulnerable and marginalised workers to ensure their protection and enjoyment of human and workers’ rights as well as decent work; promoting human rights and accountability among communities and duty bearers on the rights of vulnerable and marginalised workers; strengthening social protection initiatives for the target groups through education, skilling, livelihood support; and research and knowledge management.
