FNUSA LOGO Freedom Network USA is the largest coalition working on human trafficking in the United States. The network convenes survivors, legal and social service providers, researchers, and expert consultants to engage in advocacy, training and technical assistance, and increase the capacity of the anti-trafficking movement. Their work is focused on prevention and addressing human trafficking. They work on housing access, improving services, narrative change, sex worker rights collaboration, policy change (TVPA Reauthorization), and more.

About us

The Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women (GAATW) is an Alliance of more than 90 non-governmental organisations from Africa, Asia, Europe, LAC and North America. GAATW sees the phenomenon of human trafficking intrinsically embedded in the context of migration for the purpose of labour.

GAATW therefore promotes and defends the human rights of all migrants and their families against the threat of an increasingly globalised labour market and calls for safety standards for migrant workers in the process of migration and in the formal and informal work sectors.

Stories of Migrating Women

Women choose to leave home for a variety of reasons. GAATW-IS, in partnership with members and colleagues, has held discussions with returnee female migrant domestic workers in India, Bangladesh and Nepal to better understand the processes and outcomes of migration for women
