Fundación Quimera is a non-profit organization since 1996, located in southern Ecuador, with headquarters in the city of Machala. Their work focuses on promoting programs, projects and actions for the prevention and eradication of gender-based violence (GBV), including human trafficking, especially against women, children, the LGBTIQ population, refugees and migrants, as well as host communities; within the framework of contributing to the generation of knowledge, information, awareness, educational campaigns, and interventions of direct attention and protection for the restitution of rights. They also do advocacy work with proposals for public policies that promote gender equality and non-discrimination.
